Kathleen McCarthy Fording

Kathie worked for Jim Henson Productions in a variety of capacities culminating in managing the Home Video/Entertainment category including the relationship with Disney Home Video. Fording then moved to head up world-wide licensing for Japan-based Konami, a video game company focused on coin-op and home entertainment systems. While there, she acquired and managed a variety of licenses: Warner Brothers Tiny Toons and Animaniacs in addition to the NFL, MLB and NBA rights.

 

In 1996, Fording joined United Media in New Business, acquiring intellectual properties for licensing: Precious Moments, Beatrix Potter, Wallace and Gromit, Raggedy Ann and Andy, and Miffy. Kathie attended Georgetown University and received an undergraduate as well as a Master’s degree in English literature.
